We have a brand new opportunity for a Production Engineer to join our Supply Chain Operations team in Grays, Essex.
Wroking closely with our Supply Chain team your role will be to initiate production layout, process flow and operational improvements; through implementing data recording and analysis of the manufacturing process to increase our manufacturing output and enhance operational standards.
You'll be responsible for collating, communicating and displaying all production measurement activity to meet the daily, weekly and monthly operational targets and ensuring all health and safety and environmental requirements are adhered to when implementing any improvements.
To succeed in this role you should be qualified to degree level in Engineering and already have gained some work experience in a related industry. You’ll be a great communicator who can remain positive in a changing environment and someone who uses their own initiative to develop ideas as well as carrying out instructions. IT skills are essential; you should be able to demonstrate strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills and be an advanced user of Microsoft Excel. CAD knowledge would also be an advantage and you should have knowledge of lean manufacturing systems.
This is a Monday to Friday position which does not involve any shift working and gives you a real opportunity to make a difference to our production processes, machinery and workflows.
