Join our IT team as an IT Applications Manager and you’ll become part of the leading kitchen specialist in Europe. 

What you’ll be doing

You’ll lead a professional software development and application support team and make sure your team works well with our internal IT department.  You will also work closely with our Group IT application architects and ensure all development work is prioritised and monitored.  You’ll plan, manage and organise your team and also manage 3rd party application support organisations; as well as providing ideas and suggestions on new applications and how they can move the business forward.  You’ll use agile methodology to support development sprints and successfully lead, manage and plan applications projects to ensure they are delivered on time and within budget.

How you will qualify for the role

Qualified to degree level or equivalent in Computer Technology, you’ll have demonstrable experience as a lead or supervisor in a software development/application role in addition to extensive software development/applications experience.   You’ll have knowledge and use of Microsoft.net Framework 4.x ,Visual Studio 2017 (or later) and project management methodologies (ideally Agile).

You’ll have excellent communication, interpersonal, organisational, customer service and problem solving skills, combined with the ability to remain calm in difficult situations.  Good listening skills are essential; as you will need to be able to identify the needs of users and understand how actions impact other colleagues.  You’ll have a flexible approach to your work, hours and travel and will be confident in using your own initiative and taking full responsibility for actions.
