Join us as a Senior Software Developer (VB/C#.NET) and you’ll become part of the leading kitchen specialist in Europe.

What you’ll be doing

Working within our UK IT Applications team you’ll provide a bespoke software development service for all business units within Nobia UK to enable us to develop layers of integration between bespoke and/or “off-the-shelf” solutions, automate existing processes to gain operational efficiency, migrate single-user developed systems (such as those developed in Excel or Access) to scalable and version controlled multi-user platforms and prototype new ideas quickly to drive innovation and be highly responsive to market and operating requirements. 

You’ll be crucial to the delivery as both a software developer and mentor to our software developers (providing management cover when the IT Applications Team Lead in unavailable). You’ll periodically review all code written by the team to ensure that it adheres to standards agreed with our IT Applications Team Leader and IT Applications Manager. You’ll also monitor new platforms and development frameworks for potential service improvements and ensure supported software within the team’s remit is operating correctly and securely. Working with departments and heads of you’ll develop Crystal and Excel reports along with developing our bespoke sales, supply-chain, distribution and finance systems according to customer’s requirements and/or specification. 

How you will qualify for the role

You’ll have proven experience and knowledge of software development using C#.Net and/or VB.Net, Microsoft SQL (2012+), MVC, Web forms, HTML, CSS and JavaScript. You’ll have advanced Excel skills and experience working in a source-controlled environment (TFS, Git) with experience working directly with end users during project scoping and development. You’ll be able to mentor other developers, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a commercial awareness.
