What you’ll be doing
As a Legal Administrator you’ll manage the recovery of overdue invoices which fall outside the standard credit cycle. You’ll play a key role in supporting with the recovery of debts that have been passed to our solicitors, agreeing payment plans and working towards minimizing bad debts.
You will be expected to liaise with and advise solicitors and debt recovery agencies on next steps to take, of payments made direct to Magnet, recording payments made directly to the solicitors/agencies and allocating payments received on the accounts. All recovered costs, interest and late payment charges should be correctly recorded and accounted for.
In the event a debt cannot be recovered you will be required to complete an internal write off document and clear the debt from the accounts in line with our credit policy..
How you qualify for the role
You’ll have experience working in a high-volume fast paced Credit Management environment with good knowledge of credit risk assessment and legal debt recovery procedures. You’ll have excellent communication skills and the ability to deal effectively with all customers and at all levels. You’ll be able to work to strict deadlines, be highly organised and have a keen eye for detail.
