We have a new opportunity at Commodore Design and are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Grays, Essex.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll be responsible for updating all master data (BOM and ACAD dwgs) to ensure products can be manufactured and through good co-ordination skills you’ll manage outstanding and upcoming machine programming and specification tasks. You’ll use your initiative to implement improvements via DMAIC and Kaizen events and by carrying out comprehensive root cause analysis you’ll work with colleagues to prevent major problems reoccurring. You’ll also be creating, defining and maintaining BOM’s, Routings and SOP’s, including the generation/analysis of time studies and working with Design on DFMA and Engineering Change control with Drawings etc.
How you qualify for the role
You’ll have an NVQ Level 3, HNC or Degree in a relevant engineering discipline and a working knowledge of fault finding and problem-solving techniques. You’ll need to demonstrate a high level of IT skills and be able to work with MRP systems, AutoCAD, CNC Programming etc. You’ll also have great communication skills, the ability to work both independently and as part of a team and have logical approach to your work.
