Join us in this new role as Head of Design and you’ll get the opportunity to lead, inspire and communicate our design direction in line with the brand positioning/target customer and drive standards and consistency across the business.

What you’ll be doing

Working across range and marketing you’ll act as our specialist when it comes to trends and interior design and play a central role in our journey to design leadership in our market.

You’ll be the voice of the customer on interior design when it comes to creating and marketing beautiful kitchens; highlighting new trends and working with the Category Management team to shape new product development. 

You’ll forecast new trend colours and new product combinations that inspire customers, and work with our marketing team and agency to develop creative ways to showcase our product range.

Leading a small team you’ll create trends guides, collaborate with the learning and development team and successfully launch product launch communications/events   You’ll also support our contract and white label channels with trends insights and drive consistency in our imagery, store displays and our design service.

How you will qualify for the role

With proven experience in a domestic interior design role in a commercial setting (interior architect, design agency, design for housebuilders, homeware retailer) you’ll be highly creative and passionate about interior design for retail with a strong customer focus; you’ll need to put yourself in the customers shoes and fully understand their needs and tastes.

You’ll be able to share a portfolio of your design work to demonstrate how you’ve taken a brief and provided a concept, and have experience of using relevant design software to communicate a design brief such as SketchUp or Adobe Design Suite.

You’ll need confident presentation skills with a clear, engaging and collaborative approach, plus the ability to influence cross-functionally and build strong relationships with key stakeholders.

It’s also advantageous if you’ve got some specific experience within kitchens, bedrooms or bathrooms.
