What you’ll be doing

Working in a regional based role, covering the South of the UK, you’ll deliver a comprehensive and effective HSE service to our Store network as a Stores HSE Office which includes training, advising, and supporting Store Managed in the completion of store risk assessments (including manual handling and fire risk assessments). Using your skills and knowledge you will develop and promote a positive HSE Culture in the workplace, in which the safety of our colleagues, customers and other visitors to stores is never compromised.  

You’ll be responsible for overseeing the implementation of the Nobia UK HSE strategy and be accountable for all elements of HSE compliance in the Region in which you operate within the Magnet Commercial Structure. You will have one direct report for the MHE and Racking Instructor and will provide direction to and be accountable for ensuring the MHE and Racking Instructor role is efficiently utilised through developing and delivering to clear rolling quarterly plan.

How you qualify for the role 

Ideally, you’ll have experience in a similar role within a retail environment. You’ll hold excellent communication skills, being able to present ideas and proposals clearly and inspire colleagues and promote positive behaviours. You’ll be computer literate with the ability to produce KPI’s in a timely manner and excellent organisation skills to produce audit schedules for all Stores within your region ensuring a;; relevant documentation is kept up to date (MHE Licences, assessments, inspections etc)

Ideally, you will also hold the following:

  • NEBOSH Certificate and Construction Certificate
  •  Risk assessment (including Fire Risk assessments)
  •  Manual Handling and inspection of racking
  •  Recognised auditing qualification
