Join us as an Assistant Accountant and you’ll become part of the leading kitchen specialist in Europe.


What you’ll be doing​​​​​​​

You’ll be responsible for reconciling the wages control account for our employed and agency workers along with checking and processing invoices for payment/posting nominal ledger, producing and depositing wage related journals for both weekly and monthly paid employees. You’ll produce monthly FTE reports and producing the agency monthly accruals.

You’ll also be responsible for coding and entering items purchased through the company credit cards, coding and entering items purchased through the expenses system, maintaining of the cashbook system ensuring payment and authorisation of cashbook invoices.  To administer all associated tasks to comply with the requirements for all compliance duties required of the Finance department, including (but not limited to): VAT returns, Intrastat, National Statistics, customer turnover reporting and the production of rebate calculations and accruals including liaising with customers in relation to rebates.

The role will also include some vehicle management duties including (but not limited to): Dartford Tunnel charges, Vehicle Penalty charges, and checking, coding and paying weekly driver’s expenses in accordance with company policy.

  • Advanced Excel skills
  • SAP knowledge would be advantageous but is not essential
